Who we are
Bluetide Puerto Rico, Inc. (BTPRI) is a 501(c)3, Non-Profit Organization based in Puerto Rico since 2018. Our MISSION is; to influence, innovate, support, and increase the economic impacts and eco-responsible developments for a sustainable “Blue Economy” in Puerto Rico and the US Caribbean. BTPR’s objective is to plan, design, and implement “Blue Economic” initiatives to expand Puerto Rico’s ocean-dependent activities in an integrated and cross-collaborative manner to attain progressive marine and maritime economic research and development into the future, by accelerating ocean reliant commercial activities.

Our offerings include the "blueManta" research vessel, a 77-foot platform equipped with advanced technology for oceanographic studies, a robust Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat for rapid response in diverse marine environments, state-of-the-art Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for detailed underwater inspections, and cutting-edge aerial drones for high-definition mapping and environmental monitoring. Each service is crafted to provide specialized solutions for scientific research, environmental assessments, and infrastructure surveillance, ensuring quality and precision in challenging operational contexts.

Bluetide Puerto Rico has 18 strategic partnerships with a variety of partners from a multitude of sectors. We make special recognition of the efforts of: The San Juan Municipality, Ponce Neighborhood Housing Services, Fundación Punta Cana, and The Local Redevelopment Authority for Naval Station Roosevelt Roads.
